Our redesigned website is live, and we’re excited to finally share it with you!

Visit IdahoRescue.org and take a look around. You’ll find familiar faces, stories from our work, and more ways to connect with Idaho Animal Rescue Network. But our goal goes beyond giving IARN a fresh look online.

We want this website to be a resource for the people helping animals, the families who love them, and the communities we serve.

More Than a Place to Meet Adoptable Animals

Finding a new family member is still an important part of the site. Our Adoptable Animals page lets you get to know each animal, learn about their needs, and understand our adoption process.

You’ll also find information about fostering, volunteering, donating, and planning ahead for the pets who depend on you.

Find your way to help through IARN’s foster and volunteer pages.

Just as important are the resources that can help before an animal ever needs rescue. The website brings together information about pet food assistance, lost and found pets, rehoming, our Puppy Program, WSU spay assistance, temporary pet fostering for families experiencing domestic violence, and reporting suspected abuse or neglect.

IARN programs for domestic violence temporary pet foster care, WSU spay assistance, and unexpected puppy litters.

Sometimes, helping an animal starts with helping someone find the right information.

Connecting Idaho’s Animal Welfare Community

We know IARN cannot meet every need, cover every community, or do this work alone. Connecting people with other organizations is part of helping.

Our Idaho Rescue & Shelter Directory helps visitors find organizations by location and animal type. If you represent an Idaho rescue or shelter, please check your listing and let us know if anything needs to be added or corrected.

Our Events page is also a place to share what’s happening beyond IARN. Rescues, shelters, veterinary clinics, trainers, and community organizations can submit adoption events, fundraisers, clinics, educational opportunities, and other animal-related events.

We want people to come to the site for useful information, even when what they need has nothing to do with IARN.

Real Photos. Our Rescue Community.

The photographs throughout our website come from our own rescue work. They show actual rescues, animals we’ve helped, volunteers giving their time, community events, and the people who make this work possible.

These are real moments from the work you support: an animal finally getting care, a volunteer showing up, supplies reaching a family, or a rescue finding a home.

We chose our own photographs because we want you to see the animals, people, and experiences behind IARN. Every photo is a little piece of our story, and our community is part of that story.

The Good. The Bad. The Real. The Raw.

The stories we share will reflect the realities of rescue: the joyful homecomings, the hard decisions, the heartbreaking losses, and the long recoveries that don’t happen overnight. We want to share the good, the bad, the real, and the raw, because understanding this work means seeing more than the happy ending.

We’re especially excited to introduce you to the people behind those stories. Rescue volunteers, fellow rescues and shelters, veterinarians, trainers, foster families, and so many others give their time, knowledge, and hearts to animals who need help. Through interviews, stories, and updates, we want to share their perspectives, recognize their contributions, and give you a closer look at the teamwork behind Idaho’s rescues and shelters.

There’s More Ahead

The launch is a beginning. We have plans to add more sections and tools, including resources for law enforcement and other agencies involved in animal welfare cases.

We also want to build an educational resource section for rescuers, shelter teams, volunteers, and animal advocates. Our plans include sharing useful webinars, podcasts, training opportunities, and practical information to support the people doing this work.

From understanding animal behavior to navigating complex rescue situations, there is always more to learn. We want to help connect people with knowledge and opportunities they can use in their own communities.

These additions are still in development, and we’ll share more as they take shape.

Still Fine-Tuning

We’re continuing to work through final tweaks and fixes, including spacing, mobile layouts, links, and other details. If something looks off, a page is confusing, or you spot information that needs updating, please let us know. Sharing the page link and a screenshot is especially helpful!

This website will keep growing alongside our work and the needs of our community. We’re grateful to everyone who has helped us get here, tested pages, offered feedback, and patiently watched this project come together.
