Transport & Appointments
Help animals get to veterinary appointments, foster homes, adoption events, partner rescues, and other destinations.
Idaho Animal Rescue Network is powered entirely by volunteers. From hands-on animal care to transport, events, and behind-the-scenes support, every helping hand keeps rescue moving.
You don’t need to be an animal expert or have endless free time. Give a few hours when you can, share your talents, or become part of our regular crew. There’s a place for you here.
Become a Volunteer
There is no single way to volunteer with IARN. Some roles are hands-on with animals, some keep cases moving in the field, and others happen entirely behind the scenes.
Help animals get to veterinary appointments, foster homes, adoption events, partner rescues, and other destinations.
Assist at adoption events, community events, fundraisers, educational tables, setup, cleanup, and public outreach.
Help with animal handling, large-case logistics, supplies, documentation, field support, cleanup, and other case-specific needs.
Sort donations, package pet food, stock pantries, organize storage, assemble crates, clean equipment, and keep supplies ready to go.
Photography, social media, writing, spreadsheets, phones, data entry, auction baskets, emergency kits, and other admin projects all matter.
Take an approved dog on a walk or outing. One-on-one time provides enrichment, social exposure, and a welcome change of scenery.
Some volunteer opportunities may be available for youth with appropriate adult supervision. Families, school groups, clubs, and community organizations can also reach out about age-appropriate ways to help.
Need volunteer hours for school, a club, court-approved community service, or another program? Contact us first so we can match you with an appropriate project and confirm any documentation requirements.
The work changes by the day, the case, and the need. These are just a few of the ways volunteers show up.

Tell us a little about yourself, what you’re comfortable doing, and how you’d like to get involved. When we have a volunteer need that fits, we’ll reach out.
