Maddy

Maddy has been waiting for her forever family for more than a year, and we honestly don’t understand how this sweet girl is still waiting. Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of watching her grow into a loving, playful, goofy and incredibly devoted companion. Maddy loves being with her people. She’ll follow you around the house, curl up for cuddles, hand out kisses and happily settle in for a lazy day. But she’s just as ready when it’s time for an adventure. She loves car rides, being outside, exploring creeks and rivers, playing in the water and experiencing new things with someone she trusts. She’s also been busy learning quite a bit along the way. Maddy completed the PAWS training program in Orofino and has continued working on her skills and confidence, including agility and confidence-building work with Snake River Four Paws. She is crate trained, potty trained, walks beautifully on leash and rides well in the car. Maddy has done well with other dogs, cats, children, horses and even chickens. She can be playful and silly with her animal friends, and we think another friendly, confident dog could be a great companion for her. She is more than worth the extra effort. Once you’re part of Maddy’s world, you get the affectionate, playful, adventure-loving girl who wants to be part of whatever you’re doing. You get the cuddles, the kisses, the goofy moments, the loyal shadow following you from room to room and the satisfaction of knowing that her trust actually means something. After more than a year in our care, Maddy doesn’t need someone to feel sorry for her. She just needs the right person to finally see her.
