Foster Homes Save Lives

OPEN YOUR HOME.
CHANGE A LIFE.

You do not have to adopt forever to change an animal’s life forever. Foster homes give animals a safe place to land while we provide the support and care behind the scenes.

Foster-Based Rescue

You Provide the Home.
We Provide the Rest.

Our ability to help animals is directly tied to the foster homes available to us. Fostering can be short-term, longer-term, medical, puppy, adult dog, or another fit based on the needs of the animal and your household.

You are never expected to do rescue alone. We provide veterinary care, food, supplies, guidance, and support throughout the placement.

Become a Foster
Different Homes. Different Needs.

There Is More Than One Way to Foster

Some animals need a couch for a few nights. Others need weeks or months to heal, grow, decompress, or wait for the right home.

Short-Term

A temporary place to land during transport, appointments, emergencies, or transitions between placements.

Traditional Foster

Provide day-to-day care while an adoptable animal waits for the right permanent home.

Mommas & Babies

Give nursing moms and their babies a safe place to rest, grow, socialize, and get ready for their next chapter.

Medical Foster

Offer a quiet place to recover from surgery, injury, illness, or other medical care with rescue support.

Legal Holds

Provide a safe, stable home for animals while they navigate the legal system and their cases are resolved.

Special Needs

Some animals need a little extra patience, routine, medication, training support, or accommodations.

Fospice & Sanctuary

Home for the Animals
Who Need Us Most.

Some animals come to us with age-related needs, chronic medical conditions, disabilities, or circumstances that make traditional adoption unlikely. That does not mean they should spend their remaining time without a family.

Our fospice and sanctuary placements allow these animals to live in real homes while Idaho Animal Rescue Network continues to provide the care and resources they need.

What does the foster provide? A safe, loving home, day-to-day companionship, and the willingness to love an animal exactly where they are.
What does IARN provide? Veterinary care, medications, food, supplies, and ongoing support for the animal’s needs.

Give Them a Place
to Land.

You do not have to be perfect, experienced, or available forever. You just need the right space for the right animal at the right time.
